One on One Coaching

 

One on One coaching is the best way to get the most out of yourself. Our experienced coaches help all types of athletes ranging from recreational to elite competitive athletes. Whether you have long term goals to improve and rise through the ranks to become a professional cyclist or have a specific event in mind where you want to ensure your preperation is optimal our coaches have the expertise to help.

HPTek has a coaching philosophy that incorporates science based training methods with real world experience. HPTek coaching programs target an athlete who seeks the best out of themselves and wishes to achieve their optimal performance in specific long term training and racing / specific events

All HPTek programs are comprehensive and encompass our knowledge of exercise prescription, training adaptation and equipment technology. Delivered through Training Peaks our programs include:

- Athlete Profile (Training Zones and Critical Power targets)

- Annual Training Plan development

- Planned training load (CTL)

- Analysis of training and racing data

Communication is the key to success. All HPTek coaches have a ‘call as needed’ philosophy meaning we are here whenever you need us. It maybe for program revision, a question about nutrition or your weekend race, we are here whenever you need us. In our experience a combination of Training Peaks comments as well as phones calls / text messages keeps the line of communication strong between coach and athlete. This communication typically includes:

- As needed program revision

- Performance & training feedback

- Race strategy and performance analysis

- General chats to ensure you are healthy and enjoying the program


Target Event Program

$165 / per month of program

*It is recommended that athletes undergo preliminary testing to assist in the development of an accurate training program.

 * Please note that this program does not include coaching feedback and is simply a program developed specific to you and your event with no communication beyond the initial set up process.

 

This program is for the athlete that doesn't desire a 1 on 1 coaching experience but would like a custom program developed specifically for an event.

Typically this program consists of a 12 to 16 week periodised program that targets a specific event. The program is developed and delivered through Training Peaks allowing for a fully customised and trackable periodised training plan. 

This program is power based. It is recommended that athletes have a recently measured FTP to ensure training zone prescription is accurate. Physiological testing can be incorporated into this program to ensure accurate training zones during the prescribed training plan.

Included in this program is nutritional and ergogenic strategies to ensure optimal performance for your optimal event.
